My favourite iOS16 features

Here’s a list of new features that I really like on iOS16-

1. Lockscreen customisations
2. Homescreen Wallpaper setting gives an option to blur for better legibility
3. Big Album Art on Lockscreen
4. Screenshot ‘copy and delete’ option(helps with a mess in photos app)
5. Photos app –
   1. Copy edits, paste on other photos
   2. Aspect ratio grid view
   3. Hidden and deleted section is now FaceID locked
   4. On editing, crop now has Wallpaper aspect ratio
   5. Subject capturing from photos
6. Quick unit conversion from text- °C to °F etc
7. iMessage editing & deleting
8. Focus filters in apps
9. Reminders app – templates
10. Mail app – timed emails, reminders
11. Keyboard haptics – ability to turn off both Haptics and Sounds even when the phone is not on Silent mode.
12. Typing along with Dictation.
13. Separate AirPods settings in Settings app.

Improvements I would love to see –

1. ‘Dynamic icon fill’ of battery when Percentage is shown.
2. Dark mode wallpapers
3. Wallpaper dimming in dark mode
4. Better keyboard recommendations
5. When a focus mode is ON, calls still bypass the filter to notify on the phone, while the watch remains silent. The behaviour should be coherent on the phone and watch.
